Welcome to the Inuvik Ski Club! We are a non-profit society based in Inuvik, Northwest Territories working to promote the sport of cross country skiing and support outdoor activities around the Mackenzie Delta region.

Do you rent skis?
Yes! We have Classic (wax-less, fish scale) and Skate ski equipment for children and adults. They are available for use on the Inuvik Ski Club trails at daily, weekly, monthly, or 1/2 season rates. There is a limited number of skis and boots, so please contact the club in advance to ensure we have equipment for you. Request equipment on the RENTALS page.
When is the ski club open?
As a volunteer-run club, we do not have regular hours. However, the chalet is open to Members during the ski season (November – May) at all times and is open to the public during events such as Moonlight Skis, Open Houses, and Annual General Meetings. Check out the Event Calendar for details.
Where can I get my skis waxed?
Members have access to the Inuvik Ski Club wax bench and grip and glide waxes inside the chalet. There are some great online/video resources at Swix School if you want to try waxing your skis yourself. We also offer waxing clinics and fundraisers where you can get expert advice and service from skilled volunteers.
My kids/my partner/I want to learn to ski. What do you offer for lessons?
For kids, we offer Cross Country Canada’s Skill Development Programming.
